Prevent Permanent Tissue Damage From Frostbite With Aloe

March 17, 2011 by We Love Aloe 2 Comments

Frostbite is an extremely dangerous condition involving the freezing of tissues. It most often occurs in the extremities (fingers, hands, ears, toes, nose, feet, and cheeks) and is the result of prolonged exposure to below-freezing temperatures. When the skin is exposed to extreme cold for a prolonged period of time, the cells begin to draw oxygen away from the extremities and carry the blood to vital organs. This process involves the constricting and dilating of the blood vessels in spurts, to allow enough blood to flow to keep the extremity functioning, while allowing the larger vital organs more oxygenated blood. There are various degrees of frostbite severity. Excessive exposure to the elements can result in permanent damage to the underlying tissues and exposed skin. There are many ways to prevent permanent tissue damage with aloe.

Aloe is also unique in that it contains powerful levels of vitamin E, which are crucial to skin maintenance and cell rejuvenation. Further studies on aloe show that it also contains strong anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and anti-virus fighters. As a result, aloe has been used topically to treat a variety of irritations, burns, rashes, and frostbite. Some people even take aloe orally, to treat more severe internal conditions.

The use of aloe is an effective and inexpensive way to treat and heal frostbite. It is always best to purchase pure aloe vera gel or an aloe vera plant. Aloe vera is used in many cosmetic and bath products. Purchasing an aloe-based product with a long list of additional ingredients can cause frostbite to worsen. Aloe vera gel in pure form can be found in most retail stores, grocery stores, and natural food stores.

If you suspect you are experiencing frostbite, it is always best to check with your doctor of physician for a proper diagnosis, instead of self-treating. Frostbite requires immediate attention by a qualified medical professional to determine the extent of the cell and tissue damage. With your doctor’s permission, an aloe-based treatment has been proven to have a significant effect on healing and treating minor to moderate frostbite.

For treating frostbite, apply pure aloe gel from a bottle or directly from a plant’s stalk directly to the affected area twice daily. Aloe is especially effective for treating frostbite because it has been proven to increase the blood flow to the affected areas. Increased blood flow allows the restricted vessels the opportunity to expand and repair, while simultaneously reducing pain, redness, swelling, and inflammation. It is best to continue the aloe treatment until the frostbite is completely healed. Often, individuals will cease treatment when minor improvements to the frostbite have occurred. It is vitally important to insure that the affected area is completely healed before discontinuing treatment. For minor to moderate frostbite, it is always best to check with a medical professional to insure that the area has been properly treated and completely healed.

Several case studies have proven aloe to be highly effective in treating third degree burns and severe frostbite. In some cases, the use of aloe vera proved to heal the conditions six times faster than alternative medical interventions. In these studies, aloe improved the skin coloring, reduced scarring, and even regenerated the hair follicles. The most severe cases of burned skin were able to re-grow hair, which was unseen in any of the other treatment processes. Although these results are inspiring, for more severe cases (involving visible whitening or darkening of the skin) it is imperative to be treated by a doctor or physician. Self-treatment options are not advised for severe frostbite, unless instructed by the physician.

Aloe is one of nature’s most miraculous healers. Aloe is used to treat a variety of ailments, skin conditions, illnesses, burns, scrapes, and is one of the best treatments for healing frostbite. Holistic healers suggest the use of aloe as a primary means of antibiotic to treat various conditions, while physicians also recommend aloe treatment for many of the same conditions. It is easy to prevent permanent tissue damage with aloe and the healing is often much faster than with other forms of treatment. The most important benefit of using aloe to treat frostbite is that it is a surefire way to prevent cellular and tissue damage. Most frostbite sufferers find the instant relief coupled with the sustained benefit of using aloe to be the most effective frostbite treatment option available.

To keep this piece brief I’ll focus on full synthetic oil, API Group V, as opposed to semi synthetic oil.
They are not as oxidatively stable as other synthetics,
meaning they react with oxygen to produce sludge and other engine deposits.
It is able to withstand most temperatures and it helps
the car perform at its best.
